Conservatorship
In South Carolina, a conservatorship is a legal process, taking place in the Probate Court, in which a person or corporation is appointed by a probate court judge to manage the financial affairs of another person because of incapacity.
Similar to guardianship, conservatorship is a difficult process for individuals and families to go through because the court removes rights from a person and names someone else to handle his or her financial affairs. Contact us today to see how we may help you determine if there are less restrictive alternatives to conservatorship and, if not, to guide you through the process.
